Where is whistling grove in wow
Absolutely Amazing Property! The architecture, the views, the location were all were 5 Star! The only reason we have given this property 4 Stars is due to the terribly uncomfortable foldaway bed and the linen in the property did not feel luxe at all. Improve these two things and you will have guests coming back time and time again. Overall a Unique Property!
This was on my bucket list since the first time I saw it and it exceeded my expectations. From the moment I parked the car and walked up the walkway to the house I was so excited. I spent a wonderful 24hrs in the house and it was hard to drag myself away from the view.
I will definitely spend another night there in the future. For many years since l was a child l have always been amazed by the Pole House. Now, after three nights l was blown away with the breathtaking views. I am so glad l stayed, it was amazing and extremely comfortable. There was plenty of wood for your cosy fire's.
I shall be back! The views are A. G and this is without a doubt a spectacular piece of architecture, and we are so glad we spent 2 nights there. We had a storm and it was beautiful, not to mention the sunrise in the morning, incredible! What wasnt so incredible, was the fold out bed that was not only very uncomfortable but it was small as well.
I am unsure why they have a weird pull down bed when there is a no party rule so why would you need to fold away the bed and more than ample space for a comfy big king size bed.
There are a handful of broken old board games as well. The recliners arent exactly comfy without a pile of cushions under your back!
The bathroom door also didnt stay closed, not ideal ha ha! I was pretty disappointed to be instructed to put out rubbish and wash, dry and put away dishes, for the price of the accommodation, thats quite frankly robbery, it was also pouring rain when we left, so walking out wheelie bins wasnt an option. The location is great, down a quiet street and easy to find too, although it isnt walking distance to anything other than the beach, but it is just a short drive away from Aireys, Anglesea and Lorne.
I wish I hadve known there were basic cooking facilities, as I wouldve loved to sink in to a bottle of wine and cook something there, as our stay was rainy and stormy, staying in and not driving anywhere wouldve been great.
I did look for this many times prior to my stay and it wasnt listed on the site. Aireys has some awesome restaurants and bars, and Lorne is always great for a wander. The customer service of GORH was awesome as well- thanks again! I would absolutely come back for the view, but only if the basic things above were bought up to date and reflected the expensive price charged.
We stayed at this place for our 1 year wedding anniversary.. Had a wonderful mid week stay in the pole house, it rained for half the time but the views were incredible in any weather conditions. Check in and access to the property was a simple and smooth process. Plenty of amenities and the complimentary coffee was fantastic. We stayed at the pole house for our wedding night and an extra night after. Such a special location! We loved the sound of the waves at night, the automatic blinds in the morning to reveal the stunning ocean views in the morning and the beautiful fireplace that kept us nice and cosy!!!!
The decor could do with a bit of an update but other than that it was a thoroughly enjoyable two nights. Amazing place to stay, surprise night away for my husband. Our only recommendation is the mattress and pillows are not very comfortable and could possibly do with an update.
Just spent 4 days at this amazing property, love the history the transformation and the views. My husband and I celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary after having 3 children who are now 4 5.
Loved this unique experience and would love to come back sometime. We also had the great pleasure of meeting the owner which was lovely. A surprise stay for my wife on our anniversary. Amazing views, 5 star accommodation, unforgettable experience. If its not on your bucket list, add it! Couldnt have been better.
House was beautiful, stylish and equipped with everything we needed and lots of lovely touches. The views were just spectacular!!!! In the morning the sunrise would wake you up, and at night the waves would put you to sleep. Elevated 40m above Fairhaiven beach, waves rolling in this is a place like no other.
The most romantic place to pop the question. Thanks for the amazing memories, it was worth every cent! Amazing, stunning views, gorgeous fireplace and very relaxing. We will definitely be back. Something I will never forget. Stunning views. I could sit for hours and watch the surf roll in. Only disappointment was that the toilet wasn't clean. What a fantastic location, with breathtaking views and all the creature, comforts you need to enjoy your stay.
Staying in winter was not an issue with the beautiful first place and central heating. Also, a bonus with a winter booking was how peaceful, and quite the local towns were.
Slightly disappointed with the cleanliness of the kitchen, though it certainly wasn't a deal-breaker once you recline the chairs, crank the fire and relax with a glass of red.
Once in a life opportunity to experience architecture at it's best in such a majestic part of the world. We stayed in the incredible Pole House for two nights smack bang in the middle of winter and had the most amazing time!! The fireplace was awesome and the house just so warm and cosy. We stopped in Anglesea to get a big bag of marshmallows on the way there which also made the fireplace all the more fun at night.
You feel as though you are living above the ocean and the views are totally captivating. Will definitely will be back!! The house, location and views are all stunning. The bed is average quality for that property. Window near the bed wouldn't open for fresh air which was a problem because the suspended fireplace would not stop smoking. It looked like a flue problem. We could only live in the room if we had the big glass doors open which took some shine off the experience.
From the first sight to walking through the front door my boyfriend and I couldnt get over how breathtaking the views were. We were lucky that we had sunny clear skys during the day but when it was cold at night the fire place was perfect and kept us so warm and toasty! We were nervous about seeing so many reviews about the tidiness and the bed not being comfy, but it was spotless and the bed was fine to sleep on.
It was so hard to leave Spent 2 nights at The Pole House as a surprise for my wifes 60th. She loved it. Views are breathtaking. Open the sliding doors, listen to the sounds of the waves crashing on the beach. Smell the sea air blowing through the house. At night light up the log fire and enjoy the ambience and serenity.
Even helped with arranging a Birthday Cake for my wife. Only criticism was it went all to quickly. Hopefully we will come again one day. Hubby and I ticked of the bucket list for 2 romantic nights at the Pole House the views is what takes your breath away. Waking up at sunrise with these ocean views was totally amazing with no need to close the blinds! Not very comfortable to sleep on. It is a pity the rest lets the experience down. The essentials within are far from 5 star. Long list of do's and dont's and instructions for leaving wash and dry dishes and put away, take out rubbish ect.
Ect And guys " come on really " I am sure with the price of the property you could afford to pay cleaners to do these jobs. Lights over the dining room table didnt work outside lights didnt work and blinds wouldnt go down. Those things sorted it would have been a great experience. Hubby and I celebrated our Wedding Anniversary for 2 romantic nights at the Pole House also a bucket list accomplishment. Room was clean, neat and tidy, but the views is what takes your breath away. Had fun finding the bathroom door!
Cooked our own breakfast each morning, followed by a walk along the beach then dined out locally for lunch and dinner recommend Aireys Pub! Nice bottle of wine, fire going, listening to the waves was how we spent our evenings in Although comfortable to sleep on, it was hard to sit back and relax with a cuppa! Everything else is perfect for that special time at The Pole House, a time we will cherish forever! I booked this for my partners 30th Birthday! We had the best night!
The most spectacular views and weather made for such a special night. We stayed in enjoying the view and made use of the fire. Ill be back to stay again sometime in the future! Even met the owners who were up for a chat and very welcoming!
Stayed in April. Hang gliders waving overhead, horses on the beach and views from Aireys Light House to Lorne. Open fire was fantastic for a cosy night in.
Bed was comfortable and woke up to that spectacular view. Even got to have a chat with the owner who was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this accommodation to anyone contemplating a stay. The Pole House is an absolutely amazing place to stay. The views are absolutely stunning and the house itself is such a unique place to stay. The only thing I could fault would be that I would've expected a more luxurious bed in a property of that price point.
Other than that I would highly recommend a stay at The Pole House edpecially for a special occasion. You cannot beat the amazing views and the indoor wood fire also added a beautiful ambience. Very happy with our choice of property for our special werkend away.
Will definitely return. I can not explain how highly I recommend this place. I can not explain our breath taking the views are from morning to night. Me and my husband was just in disbelieve on how amazing the view is I will definitely be back weather it would be for a girls little get away or with my husband. I can not stop pranging on to my friends and family how amazing this place is.
It is a MUST do for anyone that is reading the reviews. This ionic property with many outstanding qualities including the location and views is let down by the current owners and how it is maintained.
In summary, no 5 star trimmings. Our night was meant to be a special gift from my wife the night after our wedding however she was let down by the current owners who didn't provide the 5 star experience that they advertised. It looks like a string of similar reviews with issues not being fixed - I'd look elsewhere. Bed uncomfortable and felt like someone had slept in bed. Either cleaning issues or very cheap sheets. And guys " come on really " I am sure with the price of the property you could afford to pay cleaners to put wheelie bins out.
I don't pay those prices to put wheelie bins out. Celebrated our wedding anniversary at the Pole House. Jaw dropping views and just loved going to sleep and waking to the sound of the ocean. Had a friendly Cockatoo come and visit and was also entertained by the paragliders passing by. The views are stunning. Kitchen utensils could have been much cleaner and pantry was a little dirty.
The electric stove top is old and was full of grease it wasnt working properly one of the knobs broken off so you couldnt turn off one of the hotplates, I think you are due to buy aa new one. This was not what I would have expected for the amount you pay, however by all means these little things that can be improved on did not ruin our weekend at all.
Easy access to the beach which was great. They say life is not measured by he number of breaths you take but the moments that take you breath away!! It was such an amazing, unfortgettable experience that words can not truly justify. Soooo Grateful and blessed to have shared it all with my husband , the love of my life , and ticked it off our bucket list. Definitely plan to return to this amazing residence with a magnificent view in a truly beautiful, extraordinary and precious part of the world.
Just Priceless and Breathtaking!! With Much love and affection always xoxox. We had a fabulous stay at the pole house. Was a cool night so we we lit the fire and it was magical. Cockatoos came and visited. The views are stunning of course. Mostly amenities were good but could be improved upon little things like no kitchen sponge, quality of toiletries etc. Kitchen could have been a bit cleaner but certainly nothing to spoil our wonderful stay. Parking was super easy and flat access from car to house.
Very close to beautiful beach 5 min walk - a bit steep for those who have mobility issues who might wish to take a car. Took my hubby here for his 30th. After wanting to go since we started going out its safe to say , it was well worth the 12 year wait!! We were definitely impressed! Waking up to the waves crashing and having lunch overlooking the beach was just awsome.
We had a friendly cockatoo come and visit us a few times, lots of waves from cars and it was handy having a walk way down to the beach. I can now tick The Pole House off my bucket list. Thanks so much. Had the most incredible stay! We felt so priveledged to be able to stay at such an iconic location and it did not disappoint.
The amenities are modern, bed was comfortable and the views are unparralled. Sunset was especially magical and we will definitely be back. Great location, amazing place.
Such an iconic property and a great place to stay. Sunrise spectacular. It was amazing place to stay. Very easy to get keys maybe a bit more security there like ID or even your name. The views just blow you away. What a feeling staying so high above the ground. Nite time there is no lights to find things a bit of a down side no dinning room lights as broken.
Other then that it was a very amazing, enjoyable place to stay. Will be back. A dream come true for us! We travelled the Great Ocean road on our honeymoon and never did we think we would be lucky enough to spend 2 nights at this iconic destination. Walking on air with the biggest smiles for 2 days whilst experiencing the mid air accommodation.
Thank you to the owners for allowing us to come an experience a truly special place. Brought us even closer. We hope to come back! H and J. This amazing get away place was worth every penny spent! A one in a life time opportunity and the views are to die for!!

Note: The next quest is, as of this writing, severely over-tuned, to the point that a 5-man group would have difficulty completing it even though it is not a group quest.
I was able to get it done with a lot of help, but it should be adjusted by the time Cataclysm goes live. If not I will adjust the description of the quest to indicate that you need a group.
Fly to the flamegate just past where you fought Azralon. Enter the portal and speak to Cenarius to start the battle. Malfurion Stormrage and Arch Druid Hamuul some to help out as well. Every 30 secods or so, Ragnaros will submerge and summon a flame wave. Once the flame wave passes, Ragnaros will summon adds that attack Malfurion and Hamuul.
Once he is finished off, go back through the portal to be teleported back to the Throne of Flame. This is the end of my leveling guide for Mt.
