Scroll wheel which finger

Fortunately, my thinkpad doesn't have a touch pad To be honest, it never even occurred to me to use anything but the index.

I guess it just feels right. I've tried to use my middle finger before, but I middle-click WAY too often thanks to Firefox, and it appears I just don't have the muscle for clicking fast in my middle finger.

Index on my desktop's mouse, and thumb on my trackpoint's buttons on the laptop. It's your "social" finger, heathens. I think the way they've shaped the mouse almost necessitates using the index finger. That said, I've always used an index and always will. Index finger for left clicking.

Middle finger for wheel and right-clicking if I had started on a mouse with a wheel, I would probably be using ring finger for right-clicking. Unless you're holding the mouse angled way off to the left, I don't see how the index finger could be fast or comfortable. The whole point is to not have to complete extra actions, so why you wouldn't have a dedicated finger for the scroll wheel is beyond me. Wow, it's never even ocurred to me to use anything other than my middle finger for the scroll wheel.

I just tried it with my index finger, and it felt like I was raping my childhood memories or something. It was just so I think I use both. I just found out I used my index finger but then I tried my middle finger and it seemed pretty natural as well. Im sure my index finger is used for normal scrolling while my "fuck you" finger is used for quick rapid scrolling. EDIT: There should be an option for both fingers.
